GM India Launches New Chevrolet Tavera

General Motors India has launched the new Chevrolet Tavera multi-utility vehicle at a ceremony presided over by General Motors President and Chief Operating Officer Mr. Fritz Henderson, now on a 3-day visit to India.
The new Tavera, launched a day after GM India inaugurated its new, state-of-the-art vehicle manufacturing facility in Talegaon, Maharashtra, is one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles in its class. It combines trouble-free performance with comfortable passenger accommodation. The Tavera recently finished second in its segment in the J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2008 India Initial Quality Study.
The Tavera has been upgraded inside and out based on the feedback of valued Chevrolet consumers in India. Among its new features are:
• A bold chrome-plated grille inset with a refreshed Chevrolet logo
• Sporty styling decals running down its sides
• A completely refreshed, dual-tone beige instrument panel with a premium wood-finish centre console
• A contemporary and stylish three-spoke steering wheel that offers improved steering control
• A handy utility bin in the instrument panel for more storage options
• A floor-mounted parking brake lever for enhanced driver ergonomics
• An integrated double-DIN stereo for added passenger pleasure
• A fully moulded interior headliner and vanity mirror mounted on the sun visor

The Tavera offers low maintenance and running costs. It gives owners the convenience of long service intervals, highly durable components and a long-life maintenance-free battery. Because of its high level of local content, replacement parts are competitively priced and readily made available through GM’s nationwide distribution network.

Tavera is a Useless vehicle. we have SSD1/2500 cc Top End Model It Does not Go Above 80 Km/h Speed/mileage in City is 6.5 kmpl / on Hi-way is 8.7 kmpl / Tavera Is So NOISEY Machine You Cant Sit Inside / High Vibration / No Safety Measures / this is unable to Drive. i Asked the GM to rectify the Problem thy said that Why Did You Buy This Vehicle. This unable to use. Tavera is Worst Quality Vehicle it will kill the Driver. There is no costumers service from GM . Its so clear That GM is making Vehicles to Steel Our NATIONS ECONOMY they make NON VALUE VEHICLES an Sell them for Higher Value in Market. so be Careful. There r many Optional / Other car QUALITY & VALUE FOR MONEY maker like TATA, M&M, TOYATA, MARUTHI. DON’T BUY GM CHEVERLET {Spl/ Tavera & Spark} Pls DON’T SUFFER LIKE ME.
